A Mirror into Ken's Past -- 1975

He was a good friend. Despite serious differences in our
backgrounds, we REALLY got along well. Being half-native
was something Sidney used to his advantage sometimes. There's
a routine on one of the Firesign Theatre albums (which I still
have) where a native looks out at what the white man is doing
and says "Oh, my white brother", quite sadly -- disappointed.
(It's actually a very poignant part of the album ...)
One day, Sid and I are out running to catch a bus or something,
and I tripped. He stopped, looked at me, and repeated the line
with the exact same intonation. I just lay on the ground
laughing. I think we missed the bus, but it was worth it ...
